Meet Jay! Don't let the photos fool you – at just 30 pounds, this little pup is the perfect pint-sized companion. Jay is 2 to 3 years old, and still has a lot of young dog energy. Jay is dog and cat friendly, and is good with kids, too! Jay loves to play with his foster siblings – he would love to find a forever family with another dog he could play with, but would also be fine being the only pet in the house.   Jay is a high energy dog, so his foster family takes him for a lot of walks. He needs to work on loose leash walking, as pulls when he spies another dog or a squirrel, but he has been making progress in this area. Jay also enjoys running, and would do well in a house with a fenced in yard.   In the house, Jay is calm and well behaved. He is very food motivated, and has a little training under his belt – he is already fully potty trained, knows how to Sit, and understands what items in the house are OK to chew on. Jay is independent and can usually entertain himself, though he does follow his foster mom all over the house and enjoys sitting next to his foster dad.   Jay is an all-around chill dog and a good boy. As he is settling into his foster home, his foster parents really enjoy seeing goofy personality starting to come out. Adoption fee: $525, includes all shots, sterilized, heartworm negative, dewormed, flea preventative, microchip   If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application and a representative will get back to you shortly to answer any questions you may have. Fosters are like bridges between high kill shelters and forever homes. We need fosters so that we can save cats and dogs before they are euthanized at the shelters.
