See Jelena’s HomepageGo to our official websiteYou can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Jelena found herself unwanted and on the streets of Mexico.  Her fate was unknown and street dogs are not treated very well.  We said yes, so she was transported to our rescue partner in Texas and then to us in MN. She is great with other dogs, and people, but cats are unknown. All dogs and puppies require supervision and training to be successful. Jelena arrived in Minnesota in early August. Here’s what we’ve learned about her:  &#226&#151&#166 Enjoys snuggling by her human or another dog  &#226&#151&#166 Loves squeaky toys and playing chase with them  &#226&#151&#166 Almost potty trained. She is good on the potty part; it’s the other one that you have to watch her closely for cues. She does best on a schedule.   &#226&#151&#166 Gets along well with the resident dogs & dogs at the events of all sizes  &#226&#151&#166 She doesn’t like to be completely alone. Needs another dog in the home for companionship or someone who is home with her.   &#226&#151&#166 Occasionally needs some time to warm up to new people, but with some treats she is quickly your best friend.  &#226&#151&#166 Does not like all young children but has done well with older kids at events. Teens should be okay.  &#226&#151&#166 Crating during the day with another dog in the home allows her to settle. If alone is upset until a human or dog returns  &#226&#151&#166 She is quiet at night in her crate  &#226&#151&#166 Enjoys walks, puzzles and is a quick learner She is an adorably sweet girl with a lot of love to give.
