Meet Jetta Female DOB: May 20, 2024 Weight: 7 lbs Breed: Chihuahua Spayed (Fixed) Vaccines: Up to Date Microchipped Healthy & Adoption-Ready Personality, Breed Info & Expectations Jetta is a loving and loyal little companion with a heart much bigger than her tiny size. At just over a year old, she has the perfect balance of youthful energy and growing maturity. She enjoys being close to her people and thrives on companionship, affection, and feeling like an important part of the family. Jetta is the kind of dog who forms strong bonds with her humans and loves being included in daily life. Whether she's joining you for a walk, relaxing on the couch, or simply following you from room to room, she is happiest when she is near the people she loves. As a Chihuahua, Jetta is likely to be intelligent, devoted, and highly people-oriented. Chihuahuas are known for their loyalty and often develop deep connections with their families. They thrive in homes where they receive plenty of love, attention, and positive interaction. Jetta would thrive in a home prepared for: Daily companionship and interaction Continued training and guidance Mental stimulation and enrichment Structure, consistency, and routine Plenty of affection and attention A lifelong commitment to her emotional and physical well-being Her small size and loving personality make her an excellent companion for individuals, couples, or families looking for a devoted best friend. Training, Adjustment & What to Expect Many rescue dogs come from uncertain beginnings and may not have had structure, socialization, or training before arriving at rescue. Because of this, most rescue dogs arrive with only basic training at best, and some may have had no formal training at all. The rescue environment itself also does not always allow for extensive one-on-one training. While we work hard to provide safety, structure, socialization, and basic guidance, adopters should expect to continue training and support after adoption. Like all rescue dogs, Jetta may need time to adjust to a new home and routine. Patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement will help her settle in and build confidence as she learns her new environment. Jetta will benefit from: Positive reinforcement training Daily structure and routine Continued socialization and exposure Exercise and mental stimulation Patience, consistency, and supervision Please remember the 3-3-3 Rule: 3 days to decompress 3 weeks to learn your routine 3 months to fully feel at home With patience, guidance, and commitment, dogs like Jetta blossom into deeply loyal lifelong companions. Owner Responsibilities & Veterinary Care Owning a dog is a lifelong commitment that includes training, daily exercise, companionship, routine veterinary care, financial responsibility, and emotional commitment throughout every stage of life. Jetta will need: Daily walks, exercise, and interaction Continued training and guidance Routine veterinary care and wellness exams Preventative care including flea, tick, and heartworm prevention Proper nutrition and weight management Mental stimulation and enrichment A safe, stable, indoor living environment Because of her small size, care should be taken around larger animals, rough play, and unsecured outdoor spaces. Jetta is an indoor family dog and is not to be chained or left outside.
