Cold, coated in machinery oil, and clinging to life, she had just two days earlier given birth beneath a semi truck. She was doing everything she could to shield us newborns from a world that had never shown her kindness. She was starving, shivering and purely in survival mode. Ten tiny lives depended on her. She tried to protect us, didn’t sleep— just prayed for morning and tried to find food. And then, finally… help came. They took mama and all us babies from the cruel and lonely streets for a second chance. Seven of us survived, sadly two of my siblings passed away. We are all beautiful and sweet just like our mama. Finding homes in my country is hard. 2 of my siblings have found homes, the rest of us are waiting.I’m the class clown of my litter, always bouncing around, wagging my tail like crazy, and turning everything into a game.Speaking of games… my absolute favorite? “Catch me if you can!” I’ll zoom past you with a toy, look back with my cheeky grin, and dare you to chase me. It’s my signature move. Just ask my doggy buddies—I’m always the one starting playtime. I love other dogs so much and make instant best friends. I also play with the cat that lives where I am. I haven’t met children yet, but am sure I will do good. I am working to perfect the house-training bit – doing great and almost there. Like my siblings I will need leash training with a secure collar & harness, so I feel safe as I learn my new world.After playtime, I’m the first to flop down for a nap, preferably right next to you. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you.Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live.While most dogs find escorting passengers flying directly to Vancouver, some will find flights through Toronto or  Montreal. In that case, additional fees will apply to fly your dog to Vancouver by cargo. Unaccompanied cargo costs within Canada range from $350 – $550 depending on the size of the dog. LALDR will be as transparent as possible with you regarding these costs. You will NOT be asked to pay a passenger fee on top of the cargo fee.[MID-EAST] *Vaccinations: Dogs from the Middle East are vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper, leptospirosis, adenovirus type 1 and para-influenza. Bordetella is not given, as that has not been a problem in the Middle East.[TURKEY] Dogs from Turkey receive a 4D SNAP test to include Leishmania, Heartworm, Ehrlichia, & Anaplasma, as well as Giardia, Parvo, Corona & Distemper.
