After spending most of her life confined and used solely for breeding, Journey is finally learning what it means to be a dog and more importantly, what it means to be loved. When Journey first arrived at her foster home, she was timid, unsure, and overwhelmed by her new surroundings. Loud noises still startle her, and she’s working on building confidence every day. But with time, patience, and kindness, Journey begins to bloom. Once she trusts you, she chooses you, and from that point on, she’s your little shadow, following you closely and soaking up every bit of love and affection she can get. She has a gentle, sweet spirit and a heart that’s slowly healing. Journey adores belly rubs and in fact, once you start, she’ll politely insist you keep going.  Since she’s still learning how to "be a dog," Journey would thrive in a home with another calm, confident dog who can help show her the ropes. She currently lives peacefully with both dogs and cats in her foster home and does well with all of them. Journey’s story is one of resilience and quiet strength. After years of giving life, she's finally learning to live hers free from cages, free from litters, and surrounded by soft beds, tasty treats, and the love she always deserved.
