I'm a kitten that was transported to Minnesota from Tennessee after the recent hurricanes. I was housed with my sister Magnolia at the Tennessee shelter and we are now in a foster home together in Minnesota. We are both great kittens and our foster family thinks we are so adorable! I really enjoy playing with my sister Magnolia and doing kitten things like stalking, chasing, and playing with toy mice. I like to be petted, but I'm not much of a lap cat. I prefer to be held for short periods of time but back scratches make me happy and I purr loudly. I am friendly with kids and the adult dog and cat that live in my foster home. Adopting kittens in pairs has been proven to be beneficial for cats’ emotional and behavioral well-being and greatly improves the likelihood of long-term adopter happiness as a result. Adopting more than one kitten also reduces the risk of “Single Kitten Syndrome” (also known as Tarzan Syndrome), a symptom of under-socialization during a kitten’s most formative weeks. Kittens who are under-socialized may develop aggressive tendencies toward both other animals and humans as they grow, creating lifelong behavioral issues for owners.
