Name:  Kahlua    Best Guess for Breed:   Beagle mix Best Guess for Age: 2 years as of July 2024        SEX: Female   Approximate Weight:  21.6 lbs (prior to leg amputation)   Gets Along With:  Other dogs! We haven’t seen her with kids or cats but she can be tested   Currently Living at:  South Carolina shelter; needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to get her freedom ride up here   Special adoption considerations:   When Kahlua arrived in our care, it was evident she needs her front leg amputated. She will receive the care she needs. Dogs do very well as tripods!    Kahlua is Looking For:   Her forever home! This small girl is just such a sweetie. She has been just great with people despite arriving in the shelter needing a leg amputation. Dogs do great as tripods, especially smaller ones. She wants what any other beagle wants – lots of sniffy walks (that beagle nose rules all!) and lots of cuddles and just knowing she’s safe and loved and under her own roof for all her days.    In exchange she promises adoring gazes and tail wags and loyal companionship. What My Foster Says About Me:  We will update this once she has arrived in the DC area and spent some time with her foster Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.  TO ADOPT:      The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter.
