Well, she is doing great, learning what it means to be loved and cared for. And, some other things Here are some of her absolute fabulous foster Andrea Logan notes:Kandy, an approximately 3-year-old spayed female being fostered in North Bend, Washington.Kandy might just be the perfect Malinois for a first time Mal owner. She is very calm and has supermodel good looks. At about 3 years old and a petite 50 lbs, this sweet girl is happy going for a walk or hike, playing in the yard or just chilling and hanging out with her people. She does enjoy a good game of tug and getting the wiggles out with the most adorable zoomies. Her foster mom lunges her like a pony, and she loves it.During Kandy’s time in foster, she has been working on leash walking, Right Here, Sit, Stay, Down, Place, Shake and Out. Kandy is food and praise, motivated and easy to train. She is willing to please and does not need harsh corrections or a raised voice.About Kandy:· Kandy walks well on a leash· Knows basic obedience and is working on Place (and rocking it!)· Does well with male dogs with slow introductions· Very friendly to people· Is very calm for a Mal.· Does well in her crate.· Nonreactive to other dogs on walks.As no one, not even Kandy!, is perfect, here are her areas of improvement:· Not chasing things in motion – cars, bikes and joggers. She is very receptive to feedback in this area.· Not chasing the cat. Kandy is trainable with cats with high value food/treats, and consistency. She will stay on Place in the presence of a cat and under supervision.As you can see from her videos, this stunning girl is kind, light-hearted and playful.
