Pst! Over here. I'm KAYLOR (Taylor), a quiet observer and gentle soul who promises the sweetest wiggles once trust is earned. Here are the essentials you need to know about this gentle soul:Breed: Lab/Golden Retriever mix (Austrian Pinscher/Russo-European Laika)Age: 4 yrsGender: FemaleWeight: 56 lbsHeight: 22 inchesCountry of origin: Republic of GeorgiaHighlights: Gentle, quiet, sweet, loyal, and ready for true peace.I’m a sweet girl ready for the comfort of a forever home.Though the classic golden coat wasn't won, the loyal Retriever spirit is carried deep within. My rescue began in a forest in Georgia where I was wild with pain from a severe injury. My tail was severed, and some of my teeth broke during the struggle to avoid capture.I was not alone; my bonded half-sister, Arabela (also posted), was by my side.We are available for adoption together, as our tight bond provides us both with comfort.I am quiet, passive, and wary of unfamiliar faces and dominant dogs.My sister and I tend to sit on the sidelines at the refuge.Trust is essential; once earned, gentle encouragement is all I need to move around the house.I now confidently allow interaction with my rescuers without running away.I am a fairly low-maintenance companion who does not demand long walks.I thrive best with a non-dominant dog who won't push me around.I have completely adjusted to life without a tail.My little stump wiggles with pure joy whenever I’m happy, showing that I am ready to give deep loyalty to the patient family who chooses me.Additional vids: https://youtu.be/h7xBSWIgBI0, https://youtu.be/ZmxXT1up1DI, https://youtube.com/shorts/5C1o5O_mPvA?feature=share. https://youtu.be/mNdyu2JZqUA https://youtu.be/Qx7Tf6LgqNU https://youtu.be/L3btVCGe1l8 https://youtu.be/kJF6zxXUa7U https://youtu.be/tjYczMIIC9QEnergy level: Low to moderate.I get along with:Dogs: YesCats: UnknownKids: UnknownFears: wary of unfamiliar humans and dogs.Training: leash work in progress, house mannersLeash skills: in progress. My adoption fee alone is $750.00 CAD. This includes my transportation to Canada, if I am able to be accompanied by a flight volunteer directly to Vancouver.Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue.Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems.Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in – at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you. While most dogs find escorting passengers flying directly to Vancouver, some will find flights through Toronto or Montreal. In that case, additional fees will apply to fly your dog to Vancouver by cargo. Unaccompanied cargo costs within Canada range from $350 – $550 depending on the size of the dog. LALDR will be as transparent as possible with you regarding these costs. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs.Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website.[MID-EAST] *Vaccinations: Dogs from the Middle East are vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper, leptospirosis, adenovirus type 1 and para-influenza. Bordetella is not given, as that has not been a problem in the Middle East.[TURKEY] *Dogs receive 4D SNAP tests – which include: Heartworm, Ehrlichiosis, Leishmania and Anaplasmosis.
