Date of Birth: 1/28/24Adoption Fee: $100.00Date Posted: 2/2/25Hi! My name is Kenya. My life has not been super easy so far but I am a survivor with a heart full of love. You see, the person who took care of me during my first year of life liked dogs and cats A LOT! She kept taking in more and more pets. Some of us kept having babies. Eventually, there were so many of us that things were really dirty and we didn’t get a lot of food because she didn’t have the money to feed us. The animal control people visited us to tell her that she had to turn all of us over. The person realized she was in way over her head and chose to do the right thing. I was happy to have some space of my own and good food but it was very scary to be placed in a steel cage. One of the ladies who took care of us at animal control called Pippi’s Place to ask if they would take me and find me the best home ever. I was so sweet rubbing against the cage door asking for pets and affection; she knew I deserved that. I am now at the adoption center and ready to find my FOREVER home. I really, really like gentle scratches under my chin and on the sides of my face. It may take me a few days to walk over to you and seek you out while I am settling into my new home. You would feel the same way if life changed for you as quickly as it has for me. Don’t worry, I happily press my head into your hand as soon as you walk over to me and start loving on me. In no time at all, I will be trotting over to say ‘Hello’ as soon as you walk into the room. I just need to know I am safe and loved. I promise to be a loyal friend and companion because that is all I want too. See you soon!
