See Kiwi’s HomepageGo to our official websiteYou can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Kiwi is a quiet, independent girl with a stubborn streak. She tends to hang back and observe the world from a distance. She’s happiest curled up in her cozy bed, where she can relax and watch the day go by. She is very fearful and shy right now, and prefers to keep to herself. She hasn’t barked once in her foster home! Kiwi seems mostly indifferent to other dogs right now, but we believe she would do best in a home with at least one other calm, friendly dog. As she becomes more comfortable, having a canine companion should help boost her confidence and ease her transition. She is currently taking Trazodone, which has been helpful in helping her relax and settle into her foster environment. At this time, she will only accept soft food. Kiwi should always be considered a flight risk. Adopters will need to take her security very seriously. She must be double-leashed anytime she’s outside. She cannot be loose in a fenced yard, left on a tie-out, or placed in an outdoor kennel. Special care must be taken to ensure she never has access to open doors whether house or car as she will bolt if startled. Kiwi is from a breeder release. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract.
