Kona is a 60-pound sweetheart with a heart full of love. She’s amazing with young children, but would thrive best in a calm, patient home—ideally with older kids or no children—to help her feel secure and relaxed. Submissive by nature, Kona gets along wonderfully with other dogs and will even initiate play from time to time. While she can be timid in new situations, with gentle guidance and reassurance, she quickly becomes a loyal and affectionate companion. Kona does experience a bit of separation anxiety, so she would be happiest in a home where someone is around most of the time. She loves having company and settles best with a consistent routine. An all-season outdoor enthusiast, Kona enjoys being outside in any weather. Her favorite things include squeaky toys, belly rubs, and simply being near her people. We are committed to finding Kona the perfect placement—one that offers stability, patience, and unconditional love. She deserves a forever home where she’ll never have to be moved again.
