This lovely lady came to us from the local impound, where she was found as a stray alongside two other cats. With her beautiful white fur and brown tabby patches, Launchpad is a real looker — but she’s still working on feeling totally comfortable around humans. Launchpad is looking for a quiet, calm home where she can relax, decompress, and enjoy gentle human company. She’s not quite ready to jump into cuddles just yet, and her body language can show some nerves — with her ears slightly back, eyes squinting, and her body a bit tense. But don't let that fool you! Launchpad is a sweet and sensitive soul who just needs time to adjust to her new environment and people. Slow introductions are recommended to help her feel safe and build trust. With patience and the right environment, we believe Launchpad will become a loving companion who enjoys your presence and affection in her own time. If you’re looking for a gentle, quieter cat to share your space with, Launchpad could be the perfect fit. Let her take the lead, and you'll be rewarded with a wonderful bond as she learns to feel at home. Launchpad is from a local impound. To learn more about Ruff Start’s adoption process and the care our foster animals receive, please visit our How to Adopt page. If you are unable to adopt but want to help this animal and others in our care, you can donate to support the medical and veterinary needs of all Ruff Start Rescue animals.   Want to adopt a kitten? We highly recommend you consider bringing home two instead of one! Adopting kittens in pairs has been proven to be beneficial for cats’ emotional and behavioral well-being and greatly improves the likelihood of long-term adopter happiness as a result. Adopting more than one kitten also reduces the risk of “Single Kitten Syndrome” (also known as Tarzan Syndrome), a symptom of under-socialization during a kitten’s most formative weeks. Kittens who are under-socialized may develop aggressive tendencies toward both other animals and humans as they grow, creating lifelong behavioral issues for owners.
