She is a little timid at first but just needs to feel safe. She came to us in mid-February from a Louisiana shelter along with Gena, who is also on our website. Both girls were very skinny and had some significant skin and coat issues. It’s wonderful to see her regaining her good health! Lena is curious and playful and really wants to be with other dogs. At first we thought the two girls might need to be adopted together, but we have lately noted that Lena is growing less dependent upon Gena. As long as she is not an only dog, we think she will be fine. She has done well with potty training unless she is left alone for too long and then she will go on a pee pad. Lena was heartworm positive but has already been through her treatment. She is ready for a sleepover!
