Meet Leo, our newest resident at the Mikey & Me Kennels for Happy Days Rescue.  Leo is a Shepherd Mix, he’s six years old, he currently weighs 45 pounds (he’s underweight), and he’s a really nice dog. Leo has been living in a garage by himself and he hasn’t been fed or cared for in a consistent manner this last year.  At Leo’s recent Vet appt. on May 29th he was given all necessary vaccinations, he tested negative for heart worm and Lyme disease, and he clearly needs to put on some weight. We are feeding him smaller portions, four times a day, so his body can get used to having healthy food again. Leo has been really good about meeting our 60+ person volunteer team, men and women alike. He walks nicely on leash and he loves running around the outdoor play yard. Leo appears to get along well with other dogs but we haven’t had him engage directly with other dogs just yet. If you would like to meet Leo, please submit an adoption application at  happydaysdogandcatrescue.org . Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to    Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The adopter's information is added once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for a $19.99/Year registration fee or a $45.00/Lifetime registration fee to change information.    Dogs and Cats still need to have collar with tags should they get lost.
