Name:  Leonard          Best Guess for Breed:   Chihuahua mix Best Guess for Age:  9 years as of February 2025         SEX:  Male   Approximate Weight:  6 lbs   Gets Along With: Leonard gets along with other dogs. We haven’t seen him with cats but he can be tested if you have them. We would be cautious placing him in a home with children under 12 years old because young kids can often scare small breed dogs with their level of energy or noise.  Children would need to be supervised closely to ensure their interactions with the dog are calm and gentle in nature.  We would be happy to discuss this more in depth with any applicant.   Currently Living at: South Carolina shelter foster home; needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to get up here   Leonard is Looking For: He is looking for what no senior dog should have to look for: his home. Leonard may be about nine years old but those small dogs can live for quite a while and Leonard wants to know he’s safe and loved for all his days. Gentle sniffy walks are on his wish list, as are lots of cuddles and snuggles. In exchange, he promises to give you all the adoring gazes he’s saving up and top be a loyal, loving companion. What My Foster Says About Me:   We will update this once he has arrived in the DC area and spent some time with his foster Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.  TO ADOPT:      The adoption fee for this dog is $375, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter.
