Location: MD Meet Libby Pumpkinhead! This gorgeous, petite girl is between 1.5-2 years old and weighs just 27 lbs. Libby was abandoned in rural Kentucky and was taken in by a kindly neighbor until ACDRA stepped in. Fortunately, Libby is as resilient as she is beautiful and has thrived in foster care! True to her cattle dog nature, she bonds deeply with her chosen person and wants to be your shadow, curious about everything you do. Libby has classic cattle dog looks with beautiful brown eyes. She is brave, has abundant energy, and loves outdoor activities including running around on the farm and daily hikes with her foster siblings. She's not afraid to show her silly side (see videos!) but also demonstrates tremendous focus when learning basic skills. What Makes Libby Special Libby gets along wonderfully with other dogs and is dying for a playmate to roughhouse with. Her grumpy older foster siblings will play occasionally, but most of the time they do their best to ignore her silly antics. Libby has already mastered the essentials: house training, crate training, doggie door use, leash walking, and good behavior around horses. Being highly food motivated makes her eager to learn, and she's already picked up several skills with more training easily within reach. With solid recall skills, Libby wouldn't necessarily need a fenced yard. After a day full of adventures, she settles beautifully and loves snuggling with her foster dad. Libby enjoys her quiet time in the crate but has also done well roaming free in the house while her foster dad is away. Good to Know Like many cattle dogs, Libby has shown interest in chasing cats but hasn't displayed aggression toward them. She has been great around young children in foster care and would make a wonderful family dog! Libby is spayed, microchipped, and current on all vaccinations and preventatives. Libby's chosen family will be rewarded with a lifetime of fun and devoted companionship! Libby is being fostered in Adamstown, MD.
