This beautiful, big Red Bloodhound is called Lightning Girl and she is walking a tightrope of life.   Critter Cavalry recently got a phone call about a bloodhound whose owner had died and the family could not find anyone to take the dog and so they scheduled a euthanization appointment with this vet.   The family members said their brother died and she was his dog and he was found days later with her laying partially on his body to protect him. She loved him dearly and he loved her. This 5-year-old, 100 lb girl is happy and loving and doesn’t deserve to die. Critter Cavalry Rescue is trying desperately to find a home or a foster for this wonderful girl. The family has no place to keep her long-term. The single mother and sister to her owner, has tried for weeks on end to find a home. She even tried the local shelter who refused to take her. The shelter was full just like the rescues are full. This girl is getting fully vetted by Critter Cavalry and microchipped. Please help us keep this beautiful smile and the dancing eyes of Lightning Girl shining brightly for years to come.
