LITTLE BO PEEP NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!  Name:  Little Bo Peep        Best Guess for Breed: Shepherd and lab mix Best Guess for Age:  7 months as of July 2024   SEX:    Female   Approximate Weight:  30.7 lbs as of 7/2024 but she is still growing!   Gets Along With:   Other dogs! We haven’t seen her with kids or cats but she can be tested   Currently Living at:   DC area foster home Special adoption considerations:  Little Bo Peep has pretty much grown up in the shelter. She is making great strides, but she can still be quite scared in new places. She is such a great, happy dog when she’s around other dogs, and we think she will do best with ample opportunities to interact with other dogs. For instance, by going to a home with a welcoming resident dog, for instance, attending doggie daycare, playing in dog parks, or just seeing other dogs in new environments.   See this happy sweetie in this video: https://mail.google.com/mail/u/2/#inbox/FMfcgzQVxHlwNFVHVzghQjpPsCNHFxvh?projector=1   Little Bo Peep is Looking For:   Let’s start with what she is NOT looking for: Her lost lamb. She IS looking for her forever home! Because she was in the shelter from the time she was a young puppy, she hasn’t seen nearly enough of the world yet. And she is oh so eager to explore it with her own humans! Long sniffy walks, romps in parks, lots of opportunities to make pup and people pals along the way – yes, please! Shelter staff say she is very sweet and submissive, and amazing in playgroup with other dogs. She’d also love to go to dog school to learn all about what dogs do and how to be the goodest girl!   What she really wants is a life the way it should be lived: as a well-loved dog, safe under her own roof. In exchange, oh, she has so much to give –  Adoring gazes and kisses and loyal companionship for all her days. What do you say? Is she the one you see by your side?
