Meet Little Lucy! Lucy was adopted from us 4 years ago, and sadly her owners have both passed since then. Poor Lucy sure is confused as her entire world has been turned upside down with the loss of her loving humans. Now we are ready to find her a new home so she can feel content and happy once again! Lucy is a senior dachshund mix who is 10 years old and weighs 35 lbs. I would describe her as good natured and laid back. She immediately loves all people she meets and let’s you know with a tail wag and a loving head hug. Let me tell you, treats are her motivation in life! If you have treats, Little Lucy will follow you anywhere. Little Lucy does well with other gentle dogs, but she does resource guard her food so she must be fed separately. The best home environment for her is one that is quieter without small children, as she doesn’t do well with a lot of noise and activity. She does just fine with cats as well, basically ignoring their presence. She also is house trained and prefers to run in the yard versus being leash walked, though she has been doing just great on the leash here at Catkins. *More photos in the comments!
