LORENA NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!   Come meet Lorena and other great adoptable dogs this Sunday (05/04) from 12-3 pm at the PetSmart in Alexandria, VA (3351 Richmond Hwy, Alexandria, VA 22305)!   Name:   Lorena         Best Guess for Breed:  Lab/Terrier mix  Best Guess for Age: 2 years as of May 2025         SEX: Female   Approximate Weight: 29 lbs   Gets Along With:  Lorena does well with other dogs. We haven’t seen her with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!   Currently Living at:  Vieques, PR shelter; needs a foster or forever    Special adoption considerations:   Dogs from Puerto Rico have a major transition to go through when they arrive and will need humans who are very committed to socialization. We think Lorena would do well with either a resident dog or a family who can make sure she can spend time with other dogs regularly, to learn the ropes from them.    Lorena is Looking For:   Her forever home! This sweetie comes all the way from Vieques, a small island off the coast of Puerto Rico, to find her own humans. She’s young, hasn’t seen nearly enough of the world, and is oh so eager for sniffy walks, romps in parks, and all the adventures her family can dream up. Making new pup pals along the way – yes please! Snuggles and cuddles are high on her wish list – she is SWEET – but you know what she wants most of all?
