LORETTA NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!    Name:  Loretta        Best Guess for Breed:   Lab mix Best Guess for Age:  7 months as of January 2025      SEX:  Female   Approximate Weight:  36 lbs as of 1/15/25; she is still growing!   Gets Along With:   Other dogs! We haven’t seen her with kids or cats but she can be tested if you have them.   Currently Living at:  DC area foster home.   Loretta is Looking For: Her forever home! This sweetie is barely out of puppyhood – she is still a young dog who has more to grow and so much to see and do. She’s eager to have her own humans to see and do it all with – long sniffy walks, romps in parks, all the adventures they can dream up. Exploring all the toys! Making new pup and people pals! And going to dog school to learn to be the bestest girl.    Most of all, though, she wants to be safe and loved and know where she belongs. In exchange, she promises adoring gazes, thumping tail wags, and loyal companionship for all her days. What do you say? Can you see her by your side? What My Foster Says About Me:  Loretta is a darling dog who captures hearts everywhere she goes. From the moment she stepped off the van, Loretta showed her sweet, affectionate nature. Although initially overwhelmed by her new surroundings, she quickly found comfort by snuggling close and leaning on my legs for support. Despite the chaos, Loretta’s curiosity shone through as she bravely left my lap to explore and make new friends. At home, Loretta’s confidence truly blossoms! It seemed like this was her first time experiencing home life, as she was adorably puzzled by the dishwasher beeping, stairs, and even the couch. Eager to explore, Loretta clomped around with her big paws, trying not to trip over them as she navigated her new environment. She is incredibly friendly and gets along wonderfully with other dogs, understanding social cues and playing nicely with toys. Loretta is also a dream on the leash, walking more politely than my own dog! She enjoyed her first Pup Cup and was very polite when it was time to dispose of the trash. In the crate, she listens to classical music and sleeps through the night without any accidents, making her way outside like a pro the next morning. She loves cuddles and a good game of fetch.  Loretta is ready to bring joy, love, and plenty of snuggles to a lucky family.  Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.  TO ADOPT:      The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter.
