If you see a pet here, they are still available for adoption and you should apply through our adoption application on our website at https://www.arf-il.org/adopt/application/ Lorna Doone is a very special kitty. I feel lucky to have had the opportunity to care for her and be the recipient of her never ending affection and cuddles. If you are looking for a cat that wants to be on your lap, begging to be picked up, and snuggling up for as long as you’d like- Lorna Doone is the cat for you. She was brought to animal control as a stray and then rescued by her A.R.F. foster mom. It’s amazing that she survived her time outdoors because soon after arriving in her foster home we suspected that she may be deaf. It was then confirmed by the vet, She doesn’t know you are there if she is sleeping or not looking at you, she needs to be approached slowly and with a gentle touch so she is not startled. For that reason, she needs a home without small children and no dogs please. Lorna Doone is a gorgeous long haired calico with bright green eyes and perfect eyeliner. She has soft longish white fur and calico markings on her head and she is the only cat I have ever seen with yellow in her coloring- she has a streak of bright yellow fur on her side. Lorna Doone is very petite- just under 5 pounds. She has an orange/brown feather duster tail. She is so pretty and unique looking. When she first came to me my first impression was that she didn’t even seem real. She looks like a little Pokemon or anime cat. It is difficult to find a photo that I am not also in because she wants to be held as soon as she sees me. Lorna Doone is a special baby and she is going to make someone very happy. Lorna Doone is micro-chipped, up to date on all vaccinations, spayed, and litter box trained. Lorna Doone's adoption fee is $135. If you are interested in meeting Lorna Doone, please fill out our Online Application today! Once your application has been approved, an ARF volunteer will be able to contact you to arrange a meeting. Thank you for considering a rescue pet from A.R.F.-Animal Rescue Foundation! We are based in Wheaton, IL and conduct adoption events in the DuPage County area. If you are interested in adopting one of our pets, please submit an adoption application at https://www.arf-il.org/adopt/application/ Adoption appointments are scheduled based on the order of applications received, so submit your application early! Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal but does get you a head start with the adoption approval process. Due to a high volume of applications, we are often unable to respond to questions or schedule meetings until your application has been approved. More information about our adoption process can be found on our website here: https://www.arf-il.org/adopt/ As an all-volunteer, foster home-based organization, A.R.F. Animal Rescue Foundation does not have a facility where applicants can visit our animals. Please visit https://www.arf-il.org/events/ for a list of our upcoming adoption events. Thank you for choosing to adopt, not shop!
