Luca came to The Furever Project as a stray, after clearly enduring a difficult past. Emaciated and likely living outdoors, he's a testament to the resilient, trusting nature of dogs. Luca’s past is behind him now and he's thriving in his foster home, learning all the wonderful things about being a cherished indoor dog! This handsome boy gets along wonderfully with other dogs and has been a gentle companion around kids of all ages. He's now a healthy weight and settling into the routine of family life, revealing his affectionate nature.  Luca's biggest desire is to be loved and to give love in return. He is a complimentary mix of active and mellow – enjoying his daily walks but equally content to be a couch potato snuggling by your side.  Smart and eager to please, Luca is super treat-motivated and continues working on mastering basic commands. He's a pro at crate training and a dream on the leash – no pulling, just a calm, steady companion. His favorite adventures involve car rides leading to trail walks!
