Like your own little four-leaf clover, you could adopt a little bit of luck yourself if you adopt Lucky. This hunky pitta-potamus came into the Shelter after living in a home with teens, men and women. His favorite activities in his previous home were walking and going on runs. He would go for daily walkies with his family, an activity heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153d love to continue in his next spot. Lucky has lived with cats previously and may enjoy a home with a dog-savvy cat. He also has experience living with ducks and chickens. He knows â&#194&#128&#194&#156sitâ&#194&#128&#194&#157 and â&#194&#128&#194&#156pawâ&#194&#128&#194&#157. Lucky primarily hung out outdoors in his previous home but has the potential to be a couch potato buddy after his daily walk. Lucky’s adoption fee is sponsored by the Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter Foundation thanks to â&#194&#128&#194&#156Leave No One Behind fundâ&#194&#128&#194&#157 â&#194&#128&#194&#147 designed to adopterâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s eyes towards animals who have been in the Shelterâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s care a little longer than average waiting for the right adopter. The Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter Foundation is now offering â&#194&#128&#194&#156Pawsitivity Bucksâ&#194&#128&#194&#157 with every dog adoption. Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end â&#194&#128&#194&#156meet and greetsâ&#194&#128&#194&#157 (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If youâ&#194&#128&#194&#153d like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
