  Luke – Male DOB 5/1/2020 Domestic Short Hair – Orange Tabby Luke is a mellow, sweet kitty who really knows how to enjoy the good life. When he first came to us, his fur was greasy and unkempt from living outside, so we gave him a spa day complete with waterless shampoo, a furminating session, and lots of brushing—and he’s looking (and feeling!) like a brand-new cat. Luke loves being groomed and will happily accept pets, though he’ll politely let you know when he’s done by hopping away to do his own thing. He’s playful and especially loves batting around his favorite catnip mouse, and he gets along nicely with most other cats.  He’s made a great friend here at the rescue in Deer, and the two of them love to wrestle, play, and hang out together. While they don’t need to be adopted as a pair, they’d make a great duo if you're looking to add two playful cats to your home. Otherwise, Luke would love to go to a home with another young, friendly feline to play with. Luke would probably do well with a calm, well-mannered dog given a slow introduction, but no young kids would be best for him.
