Our listed dogs ARE READY IMMEDIATELY; we only meet with families WHO ARE READY TO ADOPT! IF YOU APPLY and if WE APPROVE YOU it means we are assuming when you meet any of our dogs and fall in love you’re ready to ADOPT AND HIM OR HER HOME!   Meet Lovely Luna! Luna is a four year old purebred female blue merle Aussie. She is full of life and love to share with her new family. Luna is moderately active; she loves to play with any kind of ball, likes to fetch and retrieve and play with whoever she can get to pitch! She likes all kinds of toys and definitely loves to try new ones with her humans. Luna also loves to cuddle, she’s warm and friendly and eager to please. She enjoys being around her humans but is also good with other dogs and even cats! Luna LOVES car rides and other outdoor adventures; she’s always up for a road trip and is one of the most committed canine travel companions we have ever had. She’s athletic and loves to run and would be a great dog for a jogging or hiking companion. She’s also well trained on leash. Luna has mild anxiety during thunderstorms or fireworks, they really scare her but these are the only behavior issue she has and can be calmed by being with her family. She’s come a long way in the past several months and through lots of trust and reassurance has become much more appeased if something makes her nervous; she knows who her human trusties area and this has raised her self-confidence. The only reason Luna needs a new home is because her human family has an elderly relative moving in and they’re afraid she may jump up on the person just being her loving self. If you’re looking for a best friend or companion for your young active male dog then Luna could be perfect! If you agree please complete our app on the website below then TEXT SARA: 214-549-9905 So I can check your app! Thank you! www.dashdog.org General Info – PLEASE READ! *Our $450 adoption fee is based on the cost of rescuing, transporting and vetting each dog; we do not try to compete on prices with municipal shelters whose funds are paid by the city. Our philosophy is to rescue highly adoptable dogs, have them live kennel-free in private homes for temperament assessments and individual personalities. We work hard to match EACH dog with the right family – kids or no kids, other dogs male or female and/or cats. With very rare exceptions all dogs over 6 months will be spayed or neutered PRIOR to adoption – dogs under 6 months will include a spay/neuter date AND referral info for lower-cost surgery if the adopter does not choose to use her or his personal vet. OUR VETS WILL NOT PERFORM SPAY NEUTER SURGERIES UNTIL DOG IS 6 MONTHS OLD.  Please READ ALL of our info below BEFORE SENDING APPLICATION. Our goal is to help our puppies and dogs find FOREVER HOMES AND FAMILIES, NOT TO MAKE IT PROHIBITIVE FOR YOU TO ADOPT. However, once we review the application and contact you, we MEET TO ADOPT, so please let us know if you are ONLY APPLYING TO STAY ON FILE or THAT YOU ARE READY TO ADOPT, for the consideration of our puppies and dogs and families who know the time is right!
