For a 5 month old puppy, Lupin is a really great boy. His has the cutest floppy ears and scruffy coat! He's a really goofy guy and super smart!  He is completely potty trained and lets us know when he needs to go out. He likes to steal our socks, but otherwise hasn't gotten into much trouble with us. He loves food a little too much and he feels he has to resource guard it from other animals so we feed and give him chews, kongs, and treats separately from our dog. He is learning patience with the wait and ok commands for when he's eating since this boy LOVES to eat!  He has no problem sharing his toys with other dogs though.  He loves to play with his toys by himself. He will throw toys across the room and play fetch with himself. He also loves to zoom around the yard so a home with a yard is a definite plus.   He LOVES to be outside. He will whine to be let out on our balcony so he can watch the birds, squirrels, and turkeys in the neighborhood. He is obsessed with his foster sister and wants to be by her side and doing what she's doing at all times. He still has lots of energy, but a good walk, game of fetch, or some mental stimulation like a lick mat or a kong definitely help tire him out. On walks his favorite thing to do is carry sticks around, even ones that are twice as big as him! We think he would do best in an active household with someone who can give him the physical and mental exercise he needs. He plays hard and loves to play tug. He will bring his favorite toy back to you if you throw it for him. When playing with our resident dog, he can be a bit rough and rowdy and doesn't know when to stop even with clear signs from the other dog.  So a patient dog or a dog with a similar energy level would be best.  He does need to go to a home without cats as he does not get along with them. He truly is a goofy guy who just needs consistency, stability, and a family who can give him the active lifestyle he thrives on. I know what you're thinking- Pit Bull Terrier/Lab mix?? This just proves you can't judge a dog by his fur! Check out the DNA results in Lupin's photos for his full genetic breakdown.
