sweet shy boy seeking fresh start and love! MAC NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!! Name:  Mac         Best Guess for Breed:  Jack Russell terrier and Chihuahua mix Best Guess for Age: 8 months as of November 2024        SEX: Male   Approximate Weight:  11 lbs as of November 2024; he is still growing!   Gets Along With:   Mac does well with other dogs and needs to go to a home with a welcoming resident dog. We haven’t seen him with cats but he can be tested if you have them.  We would be cautious placing Mac in a home with children under 12 years old because young kids can often scare shy dogs with their level of energy or noise.  Children would need to be supervised closely to not leave doors open and should never walk the dog without an adult holding the leash.  We would be happy to discuss this more in depth with any applicant.   Currently Living at:  Lucky Dog’s South Carolina rescue campus; needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to get her freedom ride up here.    Special adoption considerations:   Because Mac is shy, he needs to go to a home with a confident, welcoming resident dog.    Mac is Looking For:   His forever home! This sweet shy boy and his sister Tina landed in the shelter along with their mama Faith through no fault of their own. Mac is eager to have his own humans for long sniffy walks, romps, and all the adventures they can dream up. Right now, though, he’s confused and scared, and doesn’t have enough experience in new settings. He’s looking for extra loving and patient adopters who will show him the world at his pace and a welcoming resident dog who will show him how to dog.    Mac is a young boy, not long out of puppyhood, and has so much to see and do. He’s got so many adoring gazes and little tail wags, so much loyalty and love in him for his new humans.  What do you say?
