New to DRM, stay tuned for more info!! Meet Mara!  If you’re looking for a smart, playful puppy who loves to learn and stay close to her people, Mara might be your girl. Mara is a happy, playful Red and Rust Doberman mix puppy with natural ears and a docked tail. She has a bright personality and loves playing with the resident Pomskies in her foster home. She’s a little cautious around the resident Doberman (who is quite the big lady), but she continues to grow more confident every day.   Mara is doing wonderfully with her kennel training. She sleeps in her kennel at night without any accidents and also does well in a larger kennel during the day while her foster family is away. She’s already showing great house manners and gives cues when she needs to go outside. So far, she’s only had one accident in the house.   This smart girl is already picking up on training quickly. Mara knows basic commands like sit, stay, place, and come, and she clearly enjoys learning and working with her people.   Like many Doberman puppies, Mara can be a bit mouthy during play, but she’s very willing to trade your hand for a toy. Because of this, young children in the home should understand how to interact with a playful puppy.   Mara would thrive in a home that understands the Doberman breed and the importance of giving them structure, training, and a job to do. She loves to learn, responds well to clear boundaries, and is already learning when it’s time to relax and settle on her place.   She’s also learning to walk on a leash and absolutely loves being outside. Mara is curious about all the smells and new experiences, but she stays close to her people or the resident dogs as she explores.   Mara is a smart, affectionate puppy who will make a wonderful companion for a family ready to help her grow into the amazing dog she’s meant to be. Our foster families are generally located within a 250 mile radius of Minneapolis, MN. All DRM dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, health checked, microchipped, 4DX tested, and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm prevention.
