Critter Details

Meet Marshmallow, a gentle and affectionate 8-year-old Domestic Long Hair with a beautiful orange and white coat that gives him a Maine Coon-like charm. Marshmallow is the epitome of a laid-back companion—docile, friendly, and low energy, he’s perfectly content to lounge in your lap, soak up all the affection you’re willing to give, and be carried around like the pampered cat he knows he is. He especially enjoys having his ears scratched and being brushed, which keeps his luxurious long fur looking its best. One of Marshmallow’s cutest quirks is his love for sticks—yes, sticks! He’ll proudly bring them to you and invite a little gentle playtime. While he’s lived with other cats and a dog and gets along well with them, he’s more of a social bystander than a playmate and would be happiest as the center of attention in a calm home where he can soak up all the love. Marshmallow would thrive in an indoor environment where his long coat can stay cleaner and mat-free, and where he can continue to be the relaxed, affectionate gentleman he is. He does well with older children and would make a perfect snuggle buddy for someone looking for a mellow, loving feline friend. If you're looking for a loyal, lap-loving companion with a heart as soft as his fur, Marshmallow is your guy. This cat is a courtesy listing (not in the AARF program) – AARF will be accepting applications and reviewing.  There is no adoption fee, but a donation to AARF is requested.  Interested in adopting? Take the first step and complete an adoption application on our website: http://aarf-tn.com/adopt/adoption-apps/ If you have questions that are not covered in the profile, visit the Pet Inquiry Form: http://aarf-tn.com/contact/pet-inquiry-form/. (All About Rescue and Fixin' Inc.) http://aarf-tn.com/ is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) no kill animal rescue organization located in the Upper Cumberland area of Tennessee. A.A.R.F. is comprised of unpaid volunteers and survives only on public donations. Thank you for thinking adoption first! Prior to adoption, all canines and felines are spayed or neutered, have received their age appropriate vaccinations, have been de-wormed for common parasites, and have received treatment for prevention of fleas and ticks. All canines over the age of 6 months have been tested for heartworm. All canines are put on heartworm prevention as soon as possible – this means dogs as soon as they are tested negative. Puppies are put on prevention immediately. All felines, regardless of age, have been tested for Feline Leukemia/FIV. Each animal receives a health check by a licensed veterinarian prior to adoption. Anything else found will be treated by our organization prior to adoption.
