Name:   Mason      Best Guess for Breed:   Poodle and terrier mix   Best Guess for Age: 1 year as of June 2026         SEX:    Male   Approximate Weight:  9.8 lbs   Gets Along With:  Other dogs! We haven’t seen him with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!   Currently Living at:  South Carolina shelter – needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to get up here.   Mason is Looking For:  Mason landed in the shelter with an overgrown, matted coat. He has closed that chapter and is looking to his new one – the one where he gets his own humans for sniffy walks, snuggles – and world exploration! He’s a young boy and hasn’t seen nearly enough of it. He also needs an adopter who will commit to daily thorough brushing and regular professional grooming. Mason’s coat is high maintenance, mats are painful, and he deserves better than to walk around with a painful coat.   He is incredibly sweet and has so much to offer in exchange. What do you say?
