Age: 7 months Breed: Pitbull mix Size: Small-medium stature Matilda is a gentle, shy soul who’s still figuring out the world, but with a little patience and a lot of love, she absolutely blossoms. At first, she may be a bit timid — but once she knows you're a safe human, her inner puppy comes to life, and it's the most heartwarming transformation. This girl is a dog-lover through and through — in fact, she thrives with a confident canine companion by her side. Having another dog in the home isn't just a plus, it’s a must for Matilda. She takes her cues from her furry friends and really starts to “dog” when she’s got a buddy to show her the ropes. Her crate is her cozy haven, and she’s a total pro at keeping it clean. She’s had no potty accidents in her foster home and is doing fantastic with a slow feeder at mealtimes (she’s a very enthusiastic eater!). Matilda has recently discovered the magic of chew bones and is now thoroughly obsessed — it’s her favorite new pastime. She’s curious about cats and may bark at them, but it’s all playful energy. She’d likely do fine with a confident, dog-savvy cat. Due to her sensitive nature, she'd do best in a calmer home with kids over 10 who can give her the space and kindness she needs to feel safe. Matilda loves the great outdoors and would make a wonderful walking or hiking buddy. She’s still young, so continued socialization and gentle guidance will help her keep growing into the amazing dog she’s clearly meant to be. A quick note: As a pit mix, Matilda may develop allergies later in life — not uncommon for the breed — so it’s something to keep in mind. If you’re looking for a loyal, sweet-hearted pup who will reward your patience with endless love and tail wags, Matilda might just be your perfect match. Matilda is from a local impound.
