Mavis arrived to our rescue on May 2nd after being rescued from Alabama alongside her family. When they were found, they were covered in mange . After completing treatment and lots of TLC, this sweet girl’s beautiful fur has grown back and she is finally ready to find the forever home she deserves! Mavis is believed to have been born around mid-January, making her approximately 4 months old. We were told she is a Great Pyrenees mix, but we believe she may be more of an Anatolian Shepherd mix. She does have a rear dew claw, which is common in both breeds. Currently weighing about 24 lbs, we expect Mavis to grow into a large girl — likely 70+ lbs full grown. Her foster mom says Mavis is an AWESOME puppy! She is incredibly friendly, sociable, and very smart. She is already crate trained (goes in willingly and stays quiet), house trained, rides nicely in the car, and is working on leash walking. Mavis also does great with the two other dogs in her foster home. Cats are unknown, but with her sweet personality, we are not concerned about children. Mavis is current on vaccinations, flea/tick preventative, and fecal testing. Her adoption fee is $450.
