  Mavis – Female DOB 1/23/2023 Domestic Short Hair – Brown Tabby Mavis is a very vocal and spicy girl and doesn't like other cats. She's had a very untrusting life and is slowly learning to trust that not all people will hurt her.  You will need to learn to read her signs as far as when to pet her and when to just be with her.  She likes to be petted, but can get a little overstimulated because she's not quite sure what to expect.  She mostly likes to be pet around her head and chin, but let her come to you. If you hold out your hand and let her come rub on it then give her a brief pet. She also loves treats and as she goes to eat one you can give her a quick pet as well. She is just stressed and needing to take a bit of time before she settles into her new home.  No dogs or children or other pets would be best for her.  She will need a cat-savvy person who will be able to read her signs and give her the time and patience she needs to settle in.
