Some dogs seem to always have a smile, and Max is one of those boys. He was happy that he found a dry bed and good food, he was happy to find that there were people who wanted to love on him, he was very happy to be told he was a good boy, and he is SO HAPPY that he gets to find his new humans now!OTHER PETS: Max is a social, outgoing dog who gives and takes feedback well. He is jumpy and plays rough, and would most likely do well with other dogs who play on a spectrum. Max should meet any dogs he would be living with prior to adoption. [Likely (Must Meet First)] OWNER EXPERIENCE: [First Dog] KIDS: Max is comfortable with handling, does well on a leash, and enjoys leaning into the people who give him attention; however, he gets jumpy when excited and is a big enough dog he could unintentionally injure a smaller human. Any minor humans Max would be living with should meet him prior to adoption. [13+ (Must Meet First)]ACTIVITY LEVEL: Max is an outgoing, friendly dog who is more interested in playing with other dogs than with toys. Longer or multiple daily walks would be a great way to ensure he remains fit, and plenty of mental enrichment will help meet all his needs. Max may be more open to playing with toys once he settles into a home; trying different activities with him will help his new owner find Max’s favorite ways to stay active. [Good Walking Buddy] VETERINARY CARE: [Routine] LEVEL OF TRAINING NEEDED: Positive reinforcement training will help Max bond with his new owner as well as help him learn skills while bonding with his guardian. With further positive training Max could become an awesome adventure buddy with his humans or a participant in various dog activities or sports. [Minimal]GROOMING: [Minimal]
