Name: McGruff       Best Guess for Breed:  Lab, retriever-type mix Best Guess for Age:  7 months as of late August 2024        SEX:  Female   Approximate Weight:  28 lbs as of 8/22/23; she is still growing   Gets Along With:   Other dogs! We haven’t seen her with kids or cats but she can be tested   Currently Living at:   Lucky Dog’s South Carolina rescue campus; needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to get her freedom ride up here!   McGruff is Looking For:  A name change – she wants to be a well-loved family dog taking bites out of treats, not some animated character taking bites out of crime! This sweetie is barely out of puppyhood and has all that awesome young-dog energy for long sniffy walks, romps in parks, and all the adventures her new humans can dream up! She’d like to go to dog school, too, so she can show how super smart she is. Quality kibble and a cushy dog bed are on her wish list as well but you know what she wants most of all? To love and be loved, to be safe under her own roof. She has so many adoring gazes and happy tail wags and kisses to give in return.  What do you say? What My Foster Says About Me:   We will update this once she has arrived in the DC area and spent some time with her foster.  Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.  TO ADOPT:      The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter.
