Melon came from a tough situation and is ready for the good life she deserves! She is nothing short of a miracle as she was surrendered in very poor health and minimal weight. With lots of dedication, support and commitment Melon found her will to not only survive but to thrive. The sparkle came back into her eyes, and her caregivers knew she was going to make it through as a happy and healthy gal. Melon is a labrador retriever mix at around 4 years old and weighing 44 pounds. Melon is a wonderful medium sized dog. She is good with other dogs and with children. We do not know of her acceptance of cats since she has not been exposed to a cat since coming into rescue. Now that she is healthy, she is learning walking on a leash, house training, and crate training. She has left her past behind and is so loving and eager to please. This adorable gal is eagerly waiting to find her forever family. Despite the changes she has experienced, Melon is completely ready to offer endless love and devoted loyalty to a new owner. Are you the special person for Melon?* When considering adoption, keep in mind that dogs thrive on structure and routine.
