Meet Mercedes, but her foster family calls her Kit because she is more like a baby fox! After spending way too long in an out-of-state shelter, she is warming up to the great life of living in a home. She needs a bit to trust new humans, but once she does, she is about as cuddly as they come. She is as smart as a fox, too! She knows how to sit for treats and will willingly go in her kennel for one and sleep there all night without a problem.  We think she's around 3 years old but can seem younger because she is super playful with both toys and other dogs. She'd love a playful dog sibling and a yard. She is terrific on a leash and is a perfect mid-sized girl, right about 40 pounds.
