A CALM LITTLE SWEETHEART:  Approx. 8 years old / Approx. 17 lbs.  Hi, my name is Millicent!  I came to Mostly Mutts through animal control from a tough situation, but I am quickly learning that my hard days are behind me, as I look forward to a future with a wonderful family!  I am heartworm positive and am grateful that Mostly Mutts is going to see me through my treatment for that.  I’m ready to be a loving addition to a great home, so let’s meet soon! • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I previously lived with dogs, and I co-existed nicely with a dog I met while visiting a home recently, but was barky and seemed afraid of a dog that was excited to meet me in a different home. So, if you have a calm dog at home already – let’s meet! / I’ve met 2 kitties in 2 different temporary foster homes and did well with both.  I wasn’t reactive and didn’t chase them, I just sniffed them a little.  One liked me and one did not, so I would likely do well with a dog-friendly kitty. / I enjoyed the company of the gentle kids in my temp. foster home (ages 5 and 7). I was very sweet and gentle with them, too.  So, if you have gentle kids around those ages or older, let’s meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over, or that may fall on me. • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  The volunteers say I am ‘a sweet, gentle soul’ who just wants to love and be loved.  I can be a bit timid at first, but warm up quickly and am quite calm and loving, and folks have yet to hear me bark, except at the 1 dog I didn’t care for.  My affectionate and loving nature make me the perfect cuddle buddy and I look forward to cuddling with my new family! / My energy level is 3-5. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I’m familiar with the ‘lay’ and ‘come’ commands, and I have good leash manners.  I bet you can teach me even more. / I’ve had good crate manners, both at the shelter and in the homes I have visited. / My potty habits are a work in progress, perhaps due to my prior circumstances.  So, I will need my new family to commit to helping me master my potty manners.   • LIKES/DISLIKES:  There is nothing I love more than love and affection from people.  If you are looking for a calm and loving cuddler, I am your girl! I’ll gladly let you pet me and carry me around and if it’s allowed, I’d love to sleep in bed with you, too. / I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention and training. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed. Since I wasn't kept on heartworm prevention in my previous home, I'm HW positive. The good news is that I’ll be treated for that in mid-August and Mostly Mutts will cover the cost of that treatment with their vet, so local adoption please.  I hope to be with my family before treatment starts! I am looking for a home where I will be a cherished family member!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.
