She is being loved and cared for, and given all the attention. She missed for many years when she apparently was used to generate puppies. She was a good puppy mom, but now she deserves a chance to be a beloved pet. her foster family realizes what she needs and is willing to give her the time to absorb being alone with no duties. Millie does not appreciate digs that are larger than she is, and seems more comfortable around smaller dogs. We will continue to monitor her adjustment to being a pet as she learns to live in harmony with others. Millie is going to be spayed toward the end of November, once her skin infection clears up. She was positive for exposure to Lyme disease so that will also be treated.  Millie weighs 22 pounds, and is between six and eight years old.
