She is a sweet, healthy, and charming little bird who truly enjoys being around her humans. Milo is still building her confidence with hands—she doesn’t like being grabbed or handled—but she clearly loves companionship and prefers to spend her time near people. Her cage door stays open during the day while someone is home to supervise, and she is actively learning to come in and out on her own. Because Milo spent much of her previous life in a cage, her flight skills are still developing. With encouragement from her foster family, she has already begun making wonderful progress. She is now flying short distances—from her cage to a nearby head perch and back—which is a big step toward becoming more comfortable as a free, social companion bird. Milo was previously on a seed-only diet. Pellets have now been introduced, and she has started to enjoy them. She hasn’t shown interest in fresh vegetables or fruit yet, but her foster family continues to gently encourage healthier variety. She currently lives in a home with children and thrives on activity. When people are around, Milo gets excited—chirping happily and even doing playful little flips on her cage—showing just how social and engaged she is. Milo is a lovely bird with a gentle personality who is steadily gaining confidence, strength, and curiosity. With patience and a caring environment, she is continuing to blossom into a wonderful companion. Milo is being fostered in Branchburg, NJWe do not ship our birds. For the Love of Birds is a network of dedicated foster homes throughout NJ and Eastern PA.
