Say hello to Milwaukee, a brown tabby boy with a story as unforgettable as his personality! This little guy came into rescue at just 2 weeks old, weighing only 190 grams, with his eyes just starting to open. As a true bottle baby, Milwaukee needed round-the-clock feedings and lots of TLC — and now he’s thriving! Milwaukee is growing fast and making up for lost time with plenty of sass and curiosity. He’s a vocal kitten with a strong personality, and like many bottle babies, he’s learning how to be a cat. That’s why he’ll need a playful feline friend in his home to help him learn good kitty manners through play and companionship. He’s currently eating several small meals of gruel throughout the day and is just starting to discover that kibble is pretty great, too. Milwaukee is friendly with small dogs, though due to his tiny size, he’ll need supervised interactions until he’s a bit bigger and sturdier. If you’re looking for a playful, spirited kitten with a strong bond to humans and a heartwarming backstory, Milwaukee is ready to pounce his way into your life — and your heart. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. To learn more about Ruff Start’s adoption process and the care our foster animals receive, please visit our How to Adopt page. If you are unable to adopt but want to help this animal and others in our care, you can donate to support the medical and veterinary needs of all Ruff Start Rescue animals. Want to adopt a kitten? We highly recommend you consider bringing home two instead of one! Adopting kittens in pairs has been proven to be beneficial for cats’ emotional and behavioral well-being and greatly improves the likelihood of long-term adopter happiness as a result. Adopting more than one kitten also reduces the risk of “Single Kitten Syndrome” (also known as Tarzan Syndrome), a symptom of under-socialization during a kitten’s most formative weeks. Kittens who are under-socialized may develop aggressive tendencies toward both other animals and humans as they grow, creating lifelong behavioral issues for owners.
