She was spotted running across the road in front of a truck, skinny and shy. No one claimed her, but she’s been making herself right at home in her foster’s care. She’s an independent girl, but still enjoys attention. She’s not one to fuss for affection, but she’s happy to be around her people and other dogs. In fact, she follows her foster’s dogs around for guidance, especially when it comes to playtime. She’s got some quirks—she’s not a fan of collars or halters and ducks when you try to put one on, so once you get one on it is best to leave it on! MinnieMarie loves the dog park, especially in the evenings, and she’s an absolute champ at wrestling with her foster’s youngest dog. When she’s not playing, she prefers to be watched while she eats, and she’ll happily curl up under the covers for a cozy night’s sleep. MinnieMarie hasn’t been around kids much and would do best in a home without little ones. She’s a little shy at first and will bark when she hears noises outside, but she’s also sweet and playful with the right companion. She could thrive with a playful dog friend or as an only dog with someone who’s home often.   If you’re looking for a dog with a playful side and an independent streak, MinnieMarie may be the girl for you! MinnieMarie is from Texas. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application.
