Some puppies know how to be photogenic. Meet adorable Missy, a 7-month-old pup, weighing about 29 pounds. With those distinctive ears, you can tell she is a shepherd mix and will probably be in the medium size range when fully grown (25-50 lbs.). Her gorgeous fur is black and tan. Note the beautiful symmetrical facial markings. Just striking!Shepherds are known for their intelligence and sense of loyalty. They tend to be athletic and active, always liking to do something, so they will need ample daily exercise. Missy will undoubtedly have several of these traits as she grows into her personality. Missy gets along well with other dogs, adults, and kids. It is not known if she has met a cat. She is sweet and friendly, even though she was a stray. She is working on her house, crate, and leash training. She, like most pups will be a quick learner once routines are established. Daily short walks (under thirty minutes) will be a good opportunity to work on leash skills as well as socialization skills. It will be a new world to her with all the new sights, smells, sounds, and people along her walk. Please note: She may not be a running companion until after age one when her growth plate closes.Missy would also appreciate free time in the back yard to burn off puppy energy. Keeping her mind active with activities that provide physical and mental stimulation will prevent boredom.
