Critter Details

I will be arriving to Canada at the end of July.Good day. My name is MOCHI and here is a little info about me:Breed: Golden Retriever mixAge: 2 yrsGender: femaleWeight: 15 kgsHeight: tbdCountry of origin: Republic of GeorgiaHighlight(s): friendly, super affectionate, obedient, sweet, ?Don't I just look like someone shrunk me in a dryer? It makes me the cutest, tiny Golden mix.My rescuer found me starving and very weak at the entrance of a subway station. Seems I had spent most of my life on the streets, likely abandoned as a puppy. She took me to the vet for care and nursed me back to a healthy state. Sadly, she has to move to another country now and can't take me. So, lucky for you… I'm available for adoption. You'll find me to be highly affectionate. I'm a lovely obedient dog, with all the typical charm of a Golden: friendly, sweet, loving. Though my eyes express sadness from my early days. I still radiate love and care. I must have a tremendous heart of love, having been through so much, yet still have such a stupendous temperament. We could certainly have some great times together. I'm pretty much up for whatever adventures you have in mind. Having the ever adaptable Golden genes makes me an easy fit for most any home. My benefactor has stated " She is one of the most wonderful dogs I have ever met." I think he is referring to my super-loving, sweet disposition. I get along famously with other dogs, though I can be just a bit afraid of certain large dogs.Videos to come.Energy Level: moderateI get along with:Dogs: yesCats: unknownKids: unknown, my rescuer states yes, but no video proof.Fears: some fear of certai larger dogs. Please be patient assisting me in my transition.Training: house skillsLeash skills: unknown. Please be prepared to train me OR continue training.House trained: Yes. Please help me learn where to go in my new home.Health notes:I have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. My adoption fee is $800.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. This includes my transportation to Canada, if I am able to be accompanied by a flight volunteer directly to Vancouver.Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue.Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems.Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in – at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you. While most dogs find escorting passengers flying directly to Vancouver, some will find flights through Toronto or  Montreal. In that case, additional fees will apply to fly your dog to Vancouver by cargo. Unaccompanied cargo costs within Canada range from $350 – $550 depending on the size of the dog. LALDR will be as transparent as possible with you regarding these costs. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs.Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website.[MID-EAST] *Vaccinations: Dogs from the Middle East are vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper, leptospirosis, adenovirus type 1 and para-influenza. Bordetella is not given, as that has not been a problem in the Middle East.[TURKEY] *Dogs receive 4D SNAP tests – which include: Heartworm, Ehrlichiosis, Leishmania and Anaplasmosis.
