We’re happy to help with tips and tricks! Currently Living at: Foster home in the DC area I am Looking For: My loving forever family! Hi! I’m Mollie, and I’ve had a hard life so far. I was rescued off the streets of Puerto Rico and have grown up living in a cage – I’m so excited for the new lease on life awaiting me in DC! Can you be a part of my amazing new life and give me a forever home? What My Foster Says About Me: Mollie is a playful, energetic, snuggly cat. She loves to bat and chase toys like little bell balls, plastic cat springs, and fake mice, and will entertain herself endlessly with these. She would like a human servant to retrieve them for her after they have all disappeared under the furniture. Mollie is a curious cat who loves to investigate and keep busy. She will sit in your lap or snuggle up next to you for a cuddle. She will purr with ecstasy and flop over with pleasure from your gentle attention. She is a little shy until she gets to know you, and this happens quickly. She has very good litter box habits. Currently living with an elderly dog and 4 cats. (Updated 1/23/26) 2/14/26 update! Hi. I’m Mollie. Yes, that Mollie. The busy one. I’m a one-year-old rescue girl with a full social calendar and absolutely no intention of slowing down. If it rolls, jingles, bounces, or can be swatted under the couch, I’m on it. Bell balls? Mine. Plastic springs? Obsessed. Dented ping pong balls? Elite entertainment. I can entertain myself for hours… but I do expect my human assistant to retrieve everything once it vanishes under the furniture. Teamwork is important. I’m curious about everything. What’s in that box? Where does this door go? Why is that pen just sitting there in your pencil cup unattended? (Don’t worry, I’ll take care of it.) I like to stay busy, investigate, supervise, and occasionally commit very small, adorable crimes. Now let’s talk about my softer side. Once I decide you’re my person (which happens pretty quickly), I am a world-class snuggler. I’ll curl up in your lap, press myself against you, and purr like I’ve just won the lottery. Gentle pets? I melt. I might even flop over dramatically to show you exactly where the attention should continue. At night, I love to sleep tucked up against my favorite human, my back cozy against you like we’re best friends in a rom-com. I do have a tiny shy streak at first — I like to assess new situations like the thoughtful queen I am. But give me a little time and I’ll be zooming around and asking for cuddles before you know it. Important qualifications: · Excellent litter box manners. · Lightning-fast response time if snacks are involved. · I know my name and will come running when called (especially if I suspect treats). · Professional shoebox sitter — preferably with a soft cushion for observation purposes. Right now I’m living with an elderly dog and four other cats, so I’m used to having company and keeping things interesting. If you’re looking for a playful, mischievous, affectionate little shadow who will make you laugh, steal your pens, chase her toys, and then curl up against you at the end of the day… I’m your girl. Come meet me. I’ve got springs to chase and a lap to claim. TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for adult cats is $200 ($350 for two cats adopted together).
