See Mona’s HomepageGo to our official websiteYou can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.All dogs listed here are available for adoption from Yorkie Rescue Houston.  Our goal is to ensure our rescued pets go to their forever home and never end up back in the system.  To that end, an application is required on all potential adopters.   Our adoption fee varies by dog.  We accept electronic funds via VENMO or Zelle, or cash only. donate@yorkierescuehouston.org or, if you prefer: our fundraising platform, Zeffy Puppies too young to be spayed/neutered are available for Foster-to-Adopt only.  A FTA contract is required.   Mona was pulled from the BARC animal shelter with a ruptured eye.  Mona had a microchip, but the owner never registered it and was never notified she needed help!  The shelter allowed us to take her on a 'medical release' with the understanding that if the owner came forward in the 72 hour stray hold, we would relinquish the dog back to the shelter to be reunited with her legal family.  (per policy, we would not be allow to recover any costs associated with her medical care)  We didn't care.  She needed help immediately.   Fortunately for us, no one ever inquired about her at the shelter and after 72 hours, she became our dog, legally. Her ruptured eye was removed and she received all her medical care, vaccines, spay, etc…. She is a DELIGHTFUL little girl, looking for a home that DESERVES HER!
