Murmurs are graded by their intensity, usually on a scale of 1-6. A Grade I murmur is very soft or quiet, may only be heard intermittently, and is usually only heard in one location on the chest. At this time she is not clinical and does not require any medications. This should be monitored by her primary care veterinarian. Moonwalk is looking for a forever home where she can feel safe and bloom. Foster Home Feedback ** Not Apartment Friendly 3/2/26 Temporary Care Feedback: I had the pleasure of having Moonwalk for the weekend, and she is truly a little lap dog at heart. She will happliy follow you wherever you go. One look into those big, beautiful eyes and your heart will melt. Moonwalk doesn’t always signal when she needs to go out, but if you take her outside regularly or have another dog to follow, she’ll do her business without issue. She got along well with my Shih Tzu and my Lab mix, though she definitely prefers the company of humans. She may bark at new people at first, but with time and slow introductions, she warms up just fine. While I was at work, I kenneled her. Moonwalk would whimper a bit at first but settled quickly. She does have a bit of a bark, so I wouldn’t recommend an apartment for this little lady. At night, Moonwalk wants nothing more than to curl up right next to you, and she sleeps soundly for most of the night. She rides perfectly in the car, though she should be strapped in or she’ll try to climb into your lap. She walks nicely on a leash and does well with a harness. With a good daily walk, this girl is an absolute angel. She loves stuffed toys, dog‑friendly chews, and soft treats are her favorite. At only 40 pounds, Moonwalk is the perfect size with a big personality. 2/16/26 Volunteer Feedback: Moonwalk is a tenderhearted sweetheart with a stunning coat and an even more beautiful soul. She can be a little timid when meeting new people, but once she realizes you’re a friend, her personality comes out. With the humans she trusts, she melts into affection—rolling onto her back, stretching out, and happily asking for all the love you’re willing to share. Moonwalk is a lovely walking companion who just needs a moment to take in her surroundings and make sure everything feels safe before starting out. Once she’s comfortable, she strolls right along at your side. Moonwalk will play with toys if you invite her, but what she wants most is to simply hang out and enjoy time with her person. Moonwalk isn’t bothered by everyday noise or activity, but she’ll thrive in a home that isn’t a revolving door of new visitors. Occasional friends stopping by is not a problem—she just thrives most when she can feel secure with familiar people. Moonwalk prefers soft, tasty treats over crunchy ones and appreciates gentle encouragement as she continues building confidence. With kindness and consistency, she warms up quickly and reveals her affectionate, loyal nature. This special girl deserves a family who will love her for the sweet, loving companion she is. If you’re looking for a friend to share your days with, Moonwalk would love to meet you. Foster Feedback 2/3/26: Meet Moonwalk — or as we like to call her, Moony! Moonwalk is an incredibly sweet and affectionate girl who just wants to be close to her people. Once she warms up to you, she’ll be your little shadow wherever you go. If you sit down, she’ll sit right with you — she takes the term lap dog to a whole new level! Moonwalk is still finding her courage and learning that the world isn’t such a scary place. She’s made wonderful progress and continues to grow more confident every day. All she needs is a patient, gentle person who can help her keep building that trust. She’s almost fully potty trained — she understands that going outside means it’s time to do her business but still needs regular outings to keep her on track. When she’s nervous, she may have a little accident, but as her comfort and confidence grow, that happens less and less. Moony is also learning that the kennel is a safe space. While she’d much rather be near her people, she’s starting to tolerate short kennel times with just a few soft whimpers. This sweet girl will make a loyal, loving companion for someone who can offer her patience, reassurance, and plenty of cuddles. Moonwalk would do especially well in a calm home with another gentle, understanding dog to show her the ropes. To view additional dogs available for adoption, please see our website: www.4luvofdog.org
