Moscato – Male DOB 12/25/2018 Domestic Short Hair White – Meet Moscato! As sweet as the sparkling white wine he is named for, this guy is the most well rounded, animal and people loving cat ever.  His personality is so curious and playful, despite everything he has been through. Moscato likes to be held and some times just carried around with his paws on your shoulder.  He is the most chill, laid back cat you will meet.  He has had his hearing tested and it does appear that he is mostly deaf, but that doesn't stop him from purring and giving low meows to express his joy, and he enjoys watching bird TV.  He loves to make biscuits on his blankets which indicates his happiness.   Moscato had been picked up as a stray cat down south and taken to a local high kill shelter.  Once he arrived in New Hampshire, Moscato had various medical issues that required long term foster care.  He had a nasopharyngeal polyp that required surgery to remove, stomatitis that required multiple dentals and many extractions and finally, he had FIP, feline infectious peritonitis.  This disease was once fatal in cats but now there is treatment, and after 12 weeks, Moscato was doing well again! Moscato has been a trooper through it all. He does have chronic rhinitis which is not infectious or contagious, but is a persistent inflammation of the nasal passages.  This does cause him to have recurring sneezing and cause some discharge.   His favorite things to do are nap with his people, play with his crinkle balls and chase his own shadow!  He loves a laser pointer and chasing the red dot and will play with wand toys endlessly.  Moscato would be fine being with another friendly cat at his new home, or he would also be ok to be the king of his castle and be the only kitty getting all your attention.  He won't use a covered litterbox so large, open boxes are a must.  He would do best with no young children.   Please apply at www.furrr.orgAll kitten(s) and cat(s) at FuRRR Feline Rescue are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations for their age, combo tested for FIV/FeLV, microchipped and have a Health Certificate from a licensed NH veterinarian.  Our application is available to be completed online at  https://furrr.org/cat-adoption-process/  Applying DOES NOT guarantee approval.  We hold meet and greets with approved applications only.  (Kittens are available for adoption in pairs only unless they are going home to another kitten or young cat under 3) Our policy is strictly NO DECLAWING and INDOOR ONLY.
